Girls Night Out!

I managed to do almost nothing yesterday until....I had the idea to strongly encourage my friend Jeannie to go to Savannah with me. I needed to get a new TV for the kitchen and a night of shopping emerged. We took her daughter and her friend and we had a fun time. Jeannie's daughter Shelby will be going off to college soon and we are all a bit sad. So we needed a fun night NOT to think about the college thing. When we went in Best Buy to get my TV I also talked Jeannie into buying a Wii. I had a little help from Shelby and Mal Mal. After Best Buy we were off to Kirkland's and I got some really cute stuff there. Our last stop was the mall for a rug and some clothes. We actually almost closed the mall. Macy's was open till 10:00and it was a good thing. We then had a nice dinner at Carrabas (one of my favorite places to eat) It was somewhere around 11:30 when we got back to Jeannie's house and I couldn't resist staying until the Wii was operational. I must say I am a bit hooked on Wii and hope Santa will bring me one!!! All my good friends know I am a LITTLE bit competitive so just as soon as Jeannie started beating me at bowling it was ON!!! (I want a rematch Jeannie) I didn't take the camera but here is a picture of Shelby, Mallory and Macy. (Macy spent the night with a friend) It was a good thing since I didn't get home until 1:30

Clean Teeth!

Today was our regular trip to the dentist for cleanings. We go to Jesup to the dentist and since I was driving right by the school I had to stop in and work a bit. We hadn't been there but about an hour and David called to meet him for lunch. He was working in the area and couldn't resist a Larry's sub and a visit with his girls. After the quick lunch we headed to Jesup stopping in Ludo to pick up Granny. We also can't resist seeing GG when we are close by. Macy insisted I go first in the chair. (I think she had to make sure everything was going to be okay) We both got excellent reports. (Daddy is the one they like to get their hands on) After an hour and half we were off to Wally World and back by the school. It was a busy day but an enjoyable one. Nothing on the agenda tomorrow but a LITTLE cleaning.

A Swimming Good Time!

Macy had a friend over yesterday to play. She is a little girl who lives in our neighborhood and her Mom is also a teacher so we all have lots in common. We have been friends with them for several years now. We usually swap houses to make things more interesting and to give the Mommies a break. Macy will play at ther house for a few hours and then she comes over here. They went swimming for a while yesterday and had a great time. Not long after they were in the pool Mae asked if she could bring her CD player out and she was not shy about shaking her booty to the beat.

G-Ville

Okay today I had to get up and get dressed to get my hair done. I was dragging at first but excited because I had made plans to meet Jane, Jennifer and Angela for lunch. We always have good intentions to get together but something always happens. We did miss Angela she couldn't make it. We had lunch at Mia Plaza and the food was great and catching up with my friends was even better. I was then off to Anns. I then picked up bar-b-que from Rust Pig for David's supper. I fully intended NOT to eat any since I had lunch out but after I smelled that BBQ all the way home I had to have a sandwich. Boy G-ville now has some great places to eat.

Slide Show

Okay I finally fixed my slide show. (thanks Tracy) I couldn't figure out what I had done wrong. I had not selected "medium" when I was setting up my slide show. It looks much better now. I guess I will get this blog stuff eventually and considering I have only spent the whole afternoon working on it.

Home Again

Okay...I am trying to work on my blog all by myself. I got the montage of pictures added but it really isn't exactly how I wanted it. (None of my friends were home to help me) Anyway, we made it home today and it was kind of bitter sweet. I really love the beach but I was a "little" ready to come home. We had a great week it rained a few days and Daddy had to come home early to work so we had Shelby and Mal Mal come and join us. Overall it was a great week even though we missed Daddy. I agree with Wanda...the dreaded letter was in my stack of mail and it totally changed my mood for today!

Summer Waves

Macy went to Summer Waves today with her Aunt Jeannie, Pop Pop (AKA Scott) and Veto. She had a blast and quickly told me she liked Summer Waves better than Splash in the Boro. Jeannie sent me some pictures but for some reason I couldn't get them to save. Anyway, I may get to post some of those pictures later. I was glad she was busy today because I packed, cleaned and did the final laundry. I decided just last week that I couldn't stand it and had to go to the beach. We have gone to Amelia 8 years in a row and Macy has asked for weeks when we were going. So, I booked last minute and actually got a great deal. I had planned to only stay for 5 days but I got such a good deal we are going to stay 7 for the price I was going to pay for 5. So, we are off to the beach!!!!!!!!! Have a great 4th everyone!
