Fashion show

Macy has already gotten some school uniforms for next year. (Thanks G-MA Joyce) I was a little sad she would have to wear a uniforms this year but she does look cute in them. AND I won't have to argue with her about what she wears to school.

VBS carnival

Sunday was the finale of VBS. Each class sang a song and then certificates were given out and then a "Carnival". We had hot dogs, chips, cotton candy, snow cones, jumpy things, face paiting, a petting zoo complete with a real baby kangaroo and numerous games. The teachers had to work a game so I was tied up with the "lollipop tree" game. Granny came and watched Mae perform and then stayed a little while. Macy had the best time eating all the cotton candy and snow cones her little body could hold. I never let her get cotton candy and occasionally she will get a snow cone but not often. I think she had 3 snow cones and at least 2 bags of cotton candy. She ran around and had the best time with ther friends.

Fun Zone

Happy Birthday Caitlyn!

Today was our neighbors birthday party. It was at the Fun Zone in Pooler. I had never been and it was a pretty cool place. My favorite part was the go carts. They also have putt putt and tons of video games. I prefer her not to waste my money in those silly games. We did go carts first and of course Macy loved it. (she is however my child) I got on one time but I hurt my foot yesterday playing ball at bible school. (YES....I wiped out on first base) David loves to remind me I am too old for such games. (NOT) Anyway, all the kids had to have someone to ride with them since you had to be 48 or 52 inch tall to drive. She would squeal everytime we went around the curve and then say...this is scary Mommy but she went everytime someone would take her. They have a smaller course for little ones to drive alone but that was boring she thought. I slipped off to Sams after the go carts and made it back just in time for her to say..More money Mommy.

More VBS

Last night was the last night for VBS. Macy was asked to hold the bible in service and let me just say...I was one proud Mama. It has been a great week....hectic...but great. We have a birthday party today at the Fun Zone in Pooler, that should be fun!

Daniel Baptist Bible School

There is nothing sweeter than a child singing praises to the lord!

This week has been hectic and it hasn't helped that I haven't felt very good. (don't really know what it is?) I have been teaching 1st and 2nd graders at bible school this week plus I have taken several of our friends with us. This is a blessing but at 9:30...3 stops before I get home makes for a late night for us. Macy and I have been sleeping until 9:30 and 10 each morning. She is off to the beach tomorrow with a friend so maybe I can get some cleaning done and catch some rays myself.

Friday was a relaxing day. I managed to stay in the bed until 10:00. Macy got up and watched cartoons. I prefer her not to watch much TV but I was feeling lazy so I made an exception. When I got up we spent some time in the pool and then lunch and a nice long nap. She had a birthday party at the mall at 6 so I wanted her to be rested. We had lots of fun. I am trying out scrapbooking, did I do good?

A Hairy Mess!

Today was very busy. Mom had her post op this morning. We did a little shopping (mostly for bible school stuff). We then had a nice lunch at Cracker Barrell. Macy had $2 to spend and it was burning a hole in her pocket. She found this battery operated hamster and of course it was more than $2 but Mommy bailed her out. Anyway, as soon as we got home and put batteries in she proceeded to put the thing on her head and a wad of hair go caught in the wheels. I tried very hard to get it untangled but we were forced to cut it out. I explained I hoped she had learned a lesson. I finally decided to cut it out and a sprig stuck up and I had to laugh. She found this horriable and of course ran around screeming Mommy don't laugh. What is a Mommy to do? The sprig was so cute sticking up. Anyway, Granny saved the day and all is well.
Oh..and by the way. She did not find it amusing that Mommy was taking pictures.

A Fashion Statement

Today was Mom's surgery on her eye. She did very well and I get to have her hang around one more day. She came yesterday and spent the night and she is spending the night again tonight. She will go back for her post op tomorrow. She has to be very careful not to bend, lift or scratch her eye. She has a very hard time NOT doing anything. I did get her to lay down and take a nap while Mae and I rested. I couldn't resist taking these pictures with her and those fashionable glasses.

Kids and Critters

I decided last minute that we would put some pictures in the Kids and Critters edition of the Sentinel. Bella is so wiggly that it was a chore to get her and Macy smiling and ready at the same time.

A Fishy Tale

Our week started off rather eventful. We decided to go fishing early Monday morning. David pulled us out of the bed at 5 ish and we were in the boat by 6:05 and at the fishing hole by 6:45. I haven't fished with David much since Macy was born. I use to go almost everytime he went. He has asked many times but I usually have so much to do that I don't go. He has taken Macy several times since she was about 3. Anyway, he put Macy's pole out and he didn't even have a chance to get mine out before she was yelling...something is pulling Daddy, oh my gosh, help me, help me, somebody help me. It warmed my heart to see her having so much fun. She squeeled also when we took off from the dock. And for those of you who fish...yes I do throw my own pole and will put the bait on but I play helpless when I can. He was so glad I went he waited on me and the poor guy didn't get to catch but 2 oh wait neither did I. Macy caught 3 of the biggest fish we caught and she did it all in 10 minutes and she was done. We headed back to the dock about 9:00 and when we got home Macy complained she didn't feel good. I checked her temp and she was running 102 fever. She slepted off and on the rest of the day. We had a great day anyway!

Library Day

Today started out busy. I have agreed to tutor a little girl two times a week so her Mom brought her around 8:30. I had to be up and dressed. Of course my child would sleep till 9:15 today because I had to get up. I worked with her for a couple of hours then she and Macy swam for a couple of hours. I fed them lunch then we headed to H-ville. I dropped her off and then made a loop around to the BOE. I got to see my sweet friend Melaine and she had my long lost computer fixed and ready for me! Today is our "library" day. On thursdays at the Midway Library they have something special each week. Last week was Ronald McDonald and today was Music Alive. I don't know what I expected, maybe some funny dressed person playing a guitar or puppets. We got there and the usual crowd was there about 8-9 kids. The library is very small so 8-9 is a good crowd and there was a string quartet with a soprano singer. I took my camera hoping to get some great shots. Macy was doing great and got down on the floor with the others and then in came a daycare of at least 25 kids. My child with her space issues got a bit nervous when those kids invaded her personal space. She began to sit on my feet and climb up and down on my lap. Again, remember the library is very small and we already have a string quartet taking up half of it. They began to play and it was very beautiful and a learning experience for Macy since they talked about the instruments and music/lyrics. They began to play and the soprano singer began to sing very high and load. The lady behind me (she was so close I felt as if I was sitting in her lap) had a small child and everytime the singer would reach a high note the baby would squeal not really excitement but something load. I love babies so I am not really complaining about that I am just setting the mood for you. It began to get very hot in the library since we were at maximum capacity. I sat there about 40 minutes and I began to have space issues and the squeling/singing was really starting to freak me out. I began to squrim in my seat. The quartet was not only singing but they were doing a skit so when they went to change scenes I shot out of there dodging fingers and dragging my child behind me. I thought Macy would freak since we had brought all of her books back and there was no way I was waiting to check out new books but I think she was glad to get out of there. I think I would have really enjoyed their singing and playing if it was in a bigger place and much MORE air.

Toes and Bikinis

I have been taking random pictures of Macy. One of my favorite things when she was little was looking at her feet/toes. She never liked to have her toes covered up even when she was a baby. The only way we could get her to keep her toes covered up was to put on those zipper pjs. I also thought her bikini selection for yesterday was sooo cute. Girl knows she can sport a bikini. I guess she gets in from her Mama. Today she went to Jens to play with her friends. I relaxed and cleaned the house. I like to clean a while and sit a while. (caught up on several episodes of CSI) That is why it takes me soo long to finish. All I have is time these days.......

New pictures

I am playing with my camera and I tried to get some cute pics of Mae but she wasn't impressed and was not having it. I took a few pouty ones and decided to move on to landscapes. I took the flower pic in my garden. I am lovin my camera.

New camera

Today has been busy. We went to Sams and Best Buy. I got a new camera. (hip hip hooray for me!) I took my friends advice and bought a Cannon Rebel. I will post pictures soon. I started playing with it today but I am going through the book to make sure I learn how to use it. I am the world's worst to start using something and never read the instruction manual. Any advice? I want to know how TD gets her pictures in black and white.

G-ville

Today was a usual Sunday. We went to SS and church and then home for lunch and a nap (long I might add). Then, Macy had put in to go to her "Granny's" bible school so we loaded up and went to G-ville. I planned to stay and bring her home tonight but tomorrow she has to stay for a couple of nights. (Yippee!) While I was waiting I though I would check up on the Sand-Hill bunch and I had a nice visit with Lissa and Matthew. Of course Matthew had to challenge me to something while I was there. We played 3 games of UNO Attack and I think I only won one game. (I want a re-match Mattie Matt!)

Little Joe

Okay those of you who have a pool know how important your automatic pool cleaner is, right? Well, ours (aka Little Joe) has been out of commission since last summer. Well I finally got the part we needed and a new bag (also expensive) and he is now working, hooray for us. We enjoyed the clean pool today with some friends and good barbeque, watermellon, chips, etc. The sun even came out for most of the time we were out. My little one that swims like a fish decided she would play with the babies boat.

Clean, Clean, Clean

Okay yesterday was a busy day. We left early and went to the Coastal EMC annual meeting. They had some good entertainment and lots of prizes but I didn't win one, sad for me. Anyway, we then went by the school to see Lissa and then off to the library. The Midway library had Ronald McDonald and Macy really enjoyed his tricks. She was a little shy at first but warmed up to him eventually. Today we are cleaning. I am determined to clean this house in one day. It is raining so I guess there isn't much else to do.

A busy day!

Yesterday was very busy. I took Mom to Savannah to the eye doctor. As most of you know, she has trouble with her eyes. She has glaucoma and a cateract (can't spell it). She insist that having surgery wouldn't help but I insisted she make this apt. so I could attend. As I expected, she has lost more vision in her "bad" eye. I informed her that she failed the test, badly. She says you don't fail the test but believe me she got and F. Anyway, when the doctor came in the first question out of my mouth was how much would her vision improve if she had surgery on it. He examined her and said 30%. We discussed it in length. (I talked and she listened) She is having surgery! Someone has said I'm a little bossy. I don't believe her because she doesn't let me boss her. Thanks MHS for bringing it to my attention. Anyway, we had a nice lunch and then off to my doctors apt and then some shopping. Mom was tired out. Macy had an invite to go to the beach with a friend so it worked out perfect for us. Then last night we had a meeting at church about bible school so we didn't get in the bed until late. Sunshine and rest on the agenda for today!
